Guilty Pleasures: The Half Chicken at Eatzi's

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Post Oak, do as the Post Oakians do and head over to Eatzi's, the gourmet-to-go. While there you could get a delicious chef-prepared salad, or some penne with pesto and shrimp. If you wanted, even, you could dine on a southwestern-style chicken salad sandwich with cilantro slaw.

You could, but you won't.

You want a half chicken. You want a whole chicken, but you think you're going to look like a glutton so you're going to settle on the half chicken. But, my friend, the half chicken is not settling. It's half of a chicken slow-roasted and marinated in either a lemon herb or peking style.

It's juicy, it's hot and it isn't over-flavored. It's just good, and at less than $8 with two sides (we recommend the green beans and macaroni and cheese) it's a deal. Houstonist recommends a nice San Pellegrino Limonata or Amstel Light with your meal.
