So we're assuming you've already sampled Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale, which benefits the rebuilding of areas affected by Hurricane Katrina? Good, good — drink up and get ready for some art impulse buying.

Through Saturday, Lawndale Art Center is hosting Open Studio, an exhibiton and sale of work by five New Orleans artists: Ron Bechet, Michael Guidry, Robin Levy, Lory Lockwood and John Scott. All five are temporarily living in Houston and working in a residency at Lawndale; the Houston Press told their stories in October. Look, buy, and help NOLA's arts scene recover.

At Lawndale Art Center's Third Floor Studios, 4912 Main St., 713.528.5858
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday; noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
