Houstonist purposely shied away from reporting on yet another Texans loss yesterday, yet another game they could have easily won. We could have, though: It would have been easy to copy a previous Texans wrap-up post and change the opponent's name.
But today, there's been a development worth discussing. News broke this afternoon that the Texans have hired former NFL coach Dan Reeves as a talent consultant. His history with reviving losing teams is impressive, and he’s been to the Super Bowl a record nine times (as a player or coach).
Everyone is still guessing what his exact role will be with the Texans — Bob McNair will announce those details later. The rumor is that he will take inventory of the talent the team has and recommend changes (which can be a warning sign for both players and coaches).
With the Texans' dismal 1-12 record, Houstonist wants to hear your recommendations for bringing victory back to Houston football.
