Victoria Osteen: God's 'diva'

122105_victoriao.jpgMore details emerge as the news of Victoria Osteen's hissy on a Colorado-bound airplane spreads like wildfire across the globe. From the Houston Chronicle:

At least some people aboard the Continental Airlines flight were less than pleased after waiting about two hours at Bush Intercontinental Airport while the Osteens left the plane and their luggage was removed, said a woman who witnessed the incident.

"She was just abusive," said Sheila Steele, who said she was sitting behind Victoria Osteen. "She was just like one of those divas."

From the Vail Daily:

"She just had attitude," [an] unnamed passenger said of Victoria Osteen. "They took her off, and she never came back. Her husband went out, then he came back and got their stuff. An hour-and-a-half later, we were leaving."

Houstonist had wondered how Pastor Joel, Mrs. Osteen's normally absurdly pleasant-looking husband, handled the situation. We can only imagine what holy thoughts were running through his head, but outwardly, he reportedly behaved very well:

"Mr. Osteen was very calm, very professional," passenger Barbara Griffith said. "It's sad."

We assume Griffith meant it was sad that Osteen's wife got her panties in such a wad, though she could have been sad that he didn't contribute to the spectacle. Also on the Osteen front today, the FBI said it won't press charges against Mrs. O.
