Wanted: Ebenezer Scrooge?

122105_snowglobe.jpgAdd another hot spot in the local crime wave: Harris County Precinct 4 in northeast Houston, where officials have had four reports of Christmas decoration vandalism in the last few weeks. And one family isn't taking it lying down:

The Santos family spent 3 ½ days decorating their home for the holidays, but was left to wonder why someone stabbed the 8-foot snow globe they had in the front yard of their home in the 7000 block of Garnett Hill Lane on Saturday night.

The family set up a surveillance camera in hopes of catching the person responsible.

Houstonist can't imagine why anyone would want to destroy lawn decorations. We're also having a little trouble figuring out why an inflatable snow globe is worth setting up a surveillance camera — aren't they on sale for $20 at Kroger?

Why set up a camera? Because there's a criminal out there and he needs to be caught.

Yeah, but why would the criminal return to the scene of the crime? ... Unless they've -- I don't dare say it -- bought another snow globe?
