4 or 5 men steal 6 or 7 watches from Memorial City

011706_robbery.jpgPolice are looking for four or five suspects who helped themselves to some jewelry today at a jewelry store in Memorial City Mall.

Police say the robbers ran into the Ben Bridge jewelry store around 10:25 a.m., smashed a display window and grabbed a bunch of Rolex watches.

They ran through Foley's before escpaping in a white, older model van.

Witnesses told officers they may have been carrying sledgehammers.

KTRK reports the men were carrying "baseball bats and sledgehammers," and KPRC says they got away with "six or seven expensive watches," which may or may not have been Rolexes. It begs the question: Wouldn't a group of guys walking through the mall carrying baseball bats and sledgehammers attract a little attention? Maybe Foley's had them on sale.
