Do you keep up with local news? Get excited over a new restaurant? Watch a lot of TV? Rock the Houston music scene? Are you always the one taking your friends places they haven't been? Do you understand art? Are you tired of questions? Why not write for Houstonist, where you can share your Houston love with tens of readers every day? (Sorry — that was the last question.)

We're looking for contributors to cover everything of interest to Houstonians, specifically local events and places, Houston's arts and literary scenes, and sports. You'll write what you love, you'll become the envy of your friends and family and you'll get to hang out with the ultra-happenin' Houstonist crowd. If you think anything could be better, we're here to tell you: It couldn't.

If you're interested, drop us an e-mail at jim(at)houstonist(dot)com and let us know a little about you and what'd you'd like to do for us. You might also include a sample post on any topic you like, just to let us see how you write. If you have any questions, we'll be happy to answer those, too.

Contact the author of this article or email tips@houstonist.com with further questions, comments or tips.
