Bootylicious reunion

060202-destiny2.jpgThe rumor is now official: Houston's own Destiny's Child is reuniting for a performance of the National Anthem at the NBA All-Star game at the Toyota Center on Feb. 19. That brings up the question: How long do you have to be disbanded before you can really call it a reunion? (They said farewell just last year.) The group also claims that it will be their last performance together, ever. They're young, Houstonist thinks they need to talk to The Eagles and Cher before making that statement.

Sure, Beyonce has moved on to bigger, better things. She'll be in at least two major releases this year: a remake of the Pink Panther with Steve Martin and a film version of the early 80's musical Dreamgirls. However, it's nice to know that the "Independent Woman" will still spend some quality time with her sisters (I'm sure they need the money to pay their "Bills, Bills, Bills"). OK, enough of the puns, we'll be happy to see our talented hometown girls rev up the NBA All-Star crowd.
