When this mail truck's a-rockin' ...

020206_postaltruck.jpgWith all the attention given to the postal shooting in California earlier this week, it's nice to know there's also some love in the postal service. Just ask the two Houston postal workers who made sweet love in the back of a mail truck.

Several residents in a northwest Houston neighborhood say they saw the pair engaging in questionable behavior in the back of a postal truck. A supervisor was called out to the scene to break up the lovebirds, but for some neighbors it was too late.

"I have three kids and they were watching," said resident Joe Arguello. "They were like, 'What's going on dad?'"

The postal service says a full investigation is now underway. One neighbor says he taped the escapade for evidence.

This brings a whole new meaning to the term "special delivery," doesn't it? Houstonist loves the idea that a crowd of neighbors was standing around watching the postal employees go at it in the back of the truck — and they weren't doing anything but taping it. For evidence. Riiiiiiiiiiight.

So many jokes spring to mind (licking stamps, hand cancel, oversized packages) that we're overwhelmed. More to come on this story, we hope.
