Water leak closes MetroRail platform

022706_train.jpgA broken water line is causing delays on the MetroRail line today in the Museum District. The break is at the corner of San Jacinto and Hermann Drive at the north end of Hermann Park; it washed out support from under the track nearby, which will require repair after today's rush hour service.

The Museum District northbound platform on San Jacinto between Binz and Ewing is the only one affected by the leak. Until it's fixed, the Museum District southbound platform on Fannin at Binz will serve both southbound and northbound trains.

There's no word this morning on when the problem will be fixed.
