MetroRail track still closed

The ground beneath the MetroRail line near Hermann Park continues staging its own little transit strike today. A water line leak closed a section of the line near San Jacinto and Hermann Drive when it washed support out from under the track late Sunday; though city crews have repaired the pipe, air pockets were found under the track this morning.

Officials said the track could reopen late Thursday if no more problems are found. In the meantime, the northbound Museum District platform remains closed; passengers can board north- and southbound trains from the southbound Museum District platform on Fannin between Binz and Ewing.
