Tuesday
John Fogerty is this year’s representation of classic rock at the Rodeo. You’re assured to hear many old Creedence hits, but it’ll be interesting to see if he plays his new anti-war anthem “Déjà vu (All Over Again).”

Wednesday
060307-missleslie.jpgRick Monroe is a relative newcomer on the country scene, but he’s pressing hard to make a name for himself, with 3 nightly shows in different Houston venues this week. We can’t vouch for him, but we can recommend the free opener’s Patsy Cline’s vocals, Miss Leslie & Her Juke Jointers.

Thursday
060307-aqualung.jpgIt’s better the second time around: David Gray had to postpone his Houston concert several months ago due to illness, but we’re the beneficiaries. With Aqualung opening up it’s almost a double-bill.

Friday

060307-cult.jpgAfter a brief period of playing Jim Morrison on a Doors reunion tour, Ian Ashbury is back with The Cult. Come out and see if “She’s Sells Sanctuary” still sounds as good twenty years later.

A couple of years ago, it looked like Hayes Carll was headed for Nashville stardom. Thankfully for us, he’s chosen to perform his way, and now he’s a favorite in the alt.country world.
