Wreck gives 'drive thru' a new meaning

031006_kfc.jpgA car crash in northwest Harris County this morning sent a van flying through the front of a KFC restaurant. The excitement began just after 7 a.m. at Bammel North Houston Road and Highway 249 when a car collided with a van:

The force of the collision sent the van flying through the air and into a KFC fast food restaurant. Rose Dennis witnessed the whole thing. "I was just telling my boss I don't want to work today cause I tell ya ... I could have had my life taken cause that car went over me," said Dennis.

Dennis works at that KFC but was given the day off.

We imagine most employees were given the day off — it might be hard to have a normal workday after a van took out the front of your business. Dennis told KTRK she saw the driver of the van get out of the vehicle unharmed.
