Restaurant owner killed with machete

031306_seafoodmarket.jpgA north Houston restaurateur was killed with a machete last night when he tried to break up a fight between a man and his ex-girlfriend. Police said William Huang, owner of the Lucky Seafood Market on Crosstimbers near Fulton, jumped in to try to stop an argument between Leon Andrade and his pregnant estranged wife, who works at the restaurant. Andrade pulled out a machete and chased Huang into the parking lot, where he hit Huang in the head with the machete several times. As KTRK reports:

"The lady came, saying her husband killed some man. Me and that lady went back there to check and the back of his head he has a big hole in the back," said eyewitness Gustavo Silva. "The husband hit him with a machete in the back of his head"

Andrade and a second, unknown suspect left in a green 1989 Chevorlet van with white stripes, Texas licence plate 273-CRN. No arrests have been made; the female employee was taken to the hospital for a check-up, but was uninjured.
