Spring man's "friends" leave him naked in the country

undies.jpgA carefree joy ride turned humiliating for Dustin Martin, a resident of Spring.

Martin was found scantily clad on a Magnolia resident's front porch at about 10 p.m. Monday. When a sheriff's deputy arrived, Martin told him he was riding with his friends Chase Gray, 19, and Jamarcus Haywood, 18, when they suddenly ordered him to take off all his clothes, watch and necklace, threatening to kill him with a pocketknife and a pipe wrench if he didn't comply.

Fortunately they let him keep his Fruit of the Looms.

Martin said the men told him they had already dug his grave before they left him alone in "the middle of nowhere," said Lt. Joe Sclider.

After deputies found him, Martin led them to the Spring Lodge hotel where he was staying with Gray, Haywood and a third roommate, Anthony Roach, 23. Upon interrogation, Roach admitted he devised the plan. All three men were arrested for aggravated robbery.

"He didn't have a wallet on him," Sclider said. "They took him out there because they didn't want him to easily get away. He had to walk for a ways to even get to a house. I don't think they were expecting him to do it that quickly."

If Houstonist were left sans clothes in the country, we'd learn to walk fast too!
