Garrison Keillor and Houston Symphony make beautiful music

Make haste, young (Prairie Home Companion) lovers. Garrison Keillor will perform with the Houston Symphony tonight at 8 p.m. in the American Expressions series.

The author, humorist and host of “A Prairie Home Companion” has performed with the Houston Symphony before, and the last time he did the show sold out quickly. Maybe, if you’re lucky, you can purchase a ticket on ebay. Seems you can buy almost anything else there.

Keillor, a native of Minnesota, most likely came down south for the screening of the movie version of “A Prairie Home Companion” also starring Lindsey Lohan and Meryl Streep. Houstonist doesn’t really care why he is here, because like some fans, we would also gladly listen to him read the back of a cereal box.
