Police arrested a man who threatened to kill a Metro bus driver last night after the driver tried to make the man get off the bus, which was going out of service for the day. It happened about 9 p.m., when the driver asked the passenger to disembark and the passenger threatened to kill the driver or anyone else who tried to make him get off the bus.
Coincidentally, the incident occurred in front of the Central Patrol police station on Riesner Street downtown — probably not the best place to threaten anyone. A dozen police cars surrounded the bus and five officers armed with Tasers, pistols and beanbag shotguns boarded the vehicle and arrested the man. They arrested the man; police said he could be charged with making a terroristic threat.
Police said the guy got himself kicked off a different bus Saturday.
