Police still looking for Kroger abductor

032806_kroger.jpgPolice are still looking for clues in the abduction of a woman from a northwest Houston Kroger store late Sunday. The woman was leaving the store at Barker Cypress and FM 529 at about 11 p.m. Sunday when a man approached her and forced her into her car:

"The suspect approached her, forced her in her vehicle, drove her from that location and took her to an ATM, made her withdraw some money and then sexually assaulted her before turning her loose," said Lt. John Martin, with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The attacker escaped with $400 cash.

Naturally, the incident shook up area residents, who probably figured people didn't get abducted out in the 'burbs. Police said they hope surveillance tape from the store will lead them to the assailant.
