Baseball fans winter is over and spring is here! Opening Day is officially starting and so are the festivities! Today kicks off NL Champions Week with a street festival that begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m., which should give you plenty of time to get in your seat or favorite spot before the 6:05 p.m. first pitch. Hurling tonight will be Roy Oswalt, who's making his fourth consecutive opening day start for the Astros and beginning what will hopefully be his third consecutive 20-game winning season. Competition is tough, though: The 'Stros are facing the Marlins (who are thinking of moving to San Antonio) and their young star lefty Dontrelle "D-Train" Willis. Willis posted 22 wins for his Marlins last season, setting franchise and MLB win records at the ripe age of 24.
If you don't have a ticket for tonight's sold-out game, don't fret: There are still tickets available for the rest of the week, where you can pick up freebies such as replica NL Champions rings, classic No. 1 foam fingers, Astros calendars, Astros NL Champion pins, team photos and Astros pennants. See you at the park with hot dog in hand ...
By the way, if by some chance you support another team (we'll look the other way), you can check out full opening day coverage for all teams here.
