Losing one's marble(s)

So this morning, we weren't that surprised to read the KTRK headline "Driver loses marbles on Katy Freeway." Well, yeah — with all the construction detours and the crazy drivers and the traffic backups, we totally understand how someone could lose their marbles. Who hasn't gotten a little crazy on the freeway from time to time?

But then we read the headline again and noticed it actually said the driver lost his marble. Oh.

The driver of a flatbed trailer spilled his load of marble chunks on the Katy outbound lanes near Mason Road last night. No one was hurt, but it did make quite a mess.

Crews were out for more than an hour picking up the broken pieces of marble.

Ah yes. Well, at least KTRK resisted another choice for the headline: "Driver spews chunks on Katy Freeway."
