Water leak/gas leak/street collapse fixed in Heights

041306_moses.jpgIn the Heights? You'll be glad to know that the stretch of West 22nd near Durham has been fixed after a construction crew broke a water main, causing part of the street to collapse last night.

It happened just after midnight when a crew working on a gas main accidentally broke the water main, which in turn broke the gas line — oops! — and caused a section of West 22nd Street to collapse. The street was blocked off for a while this morning while crews fixed the problem(s), but the leaks have been fixed. (KPRC reports the hole in the road still needs to be fixed, but we haven't been up that way to see.)
