Hark! Texas Crawfish & Music Festival is upon Us

So tomorrow marks the first day of the Texas Crawfish & Music Festival in Old Town Spring.

This marks the event's 18th year, and all the proceeds help keep Old Town Spring thriving. About 30,000 people attend the festival, and 50,000 pounds of crawfish are boiled annually so we suggest getting there early. More than 150 vendors will be present to tempt with their wares. The festival spans over two weekends.

Still not convinced you want to drive all the way to Spring to bite the heads off crawfish and suck out their insides (can't say we blame you there), check out the Music Lineup. It's like a mini SXSW: Wide Awake, House of Moist, Johnny Falstaff, Cooder Graw, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Hayes Carll* to name a few.

Tickets cost $10 on Fridays, $5 before 4 p.m. on Saturdays and $10 after, $5 Sundays.

Directions: Historic Old Town Spring is located just 20 miles north of Houston on Interstate 45. Take Exit 70A to the traffic light and take a right (east) on Spring Cypress Road. Old Town Spring is just 1 mile east of Interstate 45 on Spring Cypress.

*What's that? You want to know more about this Hayes Carll? Stay tuned! (We are such Internet teases.)
