Criminals, choose your T-shirts carefully

Ah, there's nothing quite like dumb criminals. Take, for example, 18-year-old Leon Dagoberto Jr., who was arrested Monday night in connection with a graffiti spree — because he was wearing a T-shirt printed with the same patterns he had allegedly been painting on buildings in Rosenberg.

A school official saw two Foster High School students wearing identical T-shirts stenciled with a distinctive design featuring a gas mask, a griffin, a self-portrait (of Dagoberto?) and "R370X," the graffiti artist's tag. Police talked to the students, who led them to Dagoberto. They later arrested Dagoberto, saying they believe he's responsible for 20 of the 25 graffiti cases reported in Rosenberg this spring. Dagoberto is now in the Fort Bend County Jail, where his bond has been set at $20,000.

So, uh, the next time you go on a crime spree, make sure your posse isn't wearing T-shirts that say you did it. We imagine that means the demand's going to go way down for those "I'm with serial killer" shirts.
