If you have, say, a million spare dollars lying around, you could be the proud new owner of the Runge House in Galveston. The home, at 12th and Market streets, has been approved by the University of Texas Board of Regents for sale, according to the Galveston County Daily News. Bidding will start at a mere $925,000, cash only.

The Runge House was built in 1916 for Luis and Anita Rung. The more than 7,000 square foot home was designed by a New York firm in a Mediterranean Revival-style. It was purchased in 1988 by the Sealy & Smith Foundation and has since been used for the medical branch president.

Proceeds from the lucrative sale will help to establish an endowed Parkinson’s disease research faculty position, among other things. Gather your cash quickly, bidding ends on June 22.
