A block party that stretched into the early morning Monday turned bad TV movie when a woman having a fight with another woman tried to run her down with her car. It happened at about 3 a.m. near Laura Koppe and Shady in northeast Houston when the woman got mad about another woman's relationship with a man. Apparently, the disagreement escalated to a point where the first woman figured the best way to handle things was by running over the second woman. Of course.
"It was like a block party," said eyewitness Charles King. "Everybody was in the street and she'd seen everybody and she still smashed her gas and just took off.""She ran into my friend's car, and then she drove herself in the ditch," said another witness. "It was all over a guy."
We imagine this incident really livened the party up. The driver of the car sustained minor injuries, as did a male partygoer who she ran into. But here's the kicker: The woman she was trying to hit was just bumped and apparently wasn't hurt at all. Oops! So far, there's no word on whether charges will be filed against the driver.
