Reliving the Methodist implosion

If you can remember the beginning of this week — we say that because we're having a little trouble ourselves — you'll recall the implosion of Methodist Hospital's West Pavilion. Because Houstonist is such a fan of building implosions (and explosives in general), we were happy to see a variety of videos of the Methodist implosion show up online. But we have to say that this one, from YouTube user foxfaction, is our favorite. It has everything you'd want in an implosion video: realtime and half-speed shots of the act itself, footage of people running (which we haven't quite figured out), a shot of cleanup crews sweeping dust off the MetroRail tracks and a beat we can dance to. Now if you'll excuse us, we're going to go watch it again. And shake our moneymaker a little.
