After last week's pair of daytime-talk-show quality assault cases, we figured maybe Houstonians had gotten all that out of their systems. But apparently, we were wrong: On Friday night, a man's angry ex-girlfriend showed up at the man's house and got into a fight with his wife.
It happened at Wichita and Delano, near TSU, when the woman came to the door of her ex-boyfriend's house. The man's wife answered the door and the two got into a fight that ended up with the wife shooting the ex-girlfriend in the neck. The ex died on tthe way to the hospital; as KTRK reports, "police want to further question the wife before ruling the shooting was in self-defense."
Unfortunately, Channel 13 left out some details we're curious about. For example, did the ex date the guy before he was married, or was it an affair? (Judging by the wife's reaction, we're guessing it was the latter.) Why did the ex show up at his house? And are we the only people in Houston who don't own a gun?
