Andy Fastow: from high finance to free guitar strings

071106_fastow.jpgSure, today's the day between Ken Lay's dual memorial services, and we're still a least a couple of days away from Jeff Skilling beginning his legal wranglings. But that doesn't mean we have to be without Enron news: According to the Houston Press's new HouStoned blog, former Enroner Andy Fastow was seen trading in a coupon for free guitar strings yesterday.

A spy at the Westheimer Guitar Center informs us that Fastow was in the store today cashing in a coupon for free guitar strings. “Maybe he broke his old set playing a lament” for his old boss, the spy says. It’s a big fall from raking in millions through off-the-book partnerships to saving a couple of bucks with a coupon.

We guess it'll just be a coincidence when Skilling, his wife and ex-wife all cash in their guitar-string coupons at the same time.
