What he really wanted was the rat costume

071706_chuck.jpgWe figured Chuck E. Cheese's was bound to have a lot of bad karma stored up, considering the zillions of kids it's subjected to bad pizza, pinball and enormous, oddly cheerful rats. So it wasn't that much of a surprise to us when a gunman held up a Sugar Land Chuck E. Cheese's last week.

It happened Thursday, just after the restaurant in the 2300 block of Town Center Drive had closed. The man, who was sporting a ski mask (naturally) and armed with a revolver, threw a brick through the front door, walked in and demanded money from the manager. He walked away with $2,000, but apparently managed to resist the urge to pick up a Skee-Ball game.

Witnesses said the robber was an Asian or Hispanic man, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 140 pounds. He was wearing a ski mask, winter gloves and a dark windbreaker. Anybody who knows anything about the crime should call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281.342.TIPS.
