Houston Press Music Awards Showcase

You know that we’re always pushing the good local music here, it’s only because there’s so much of it. For a mere $7, you can catch 60 local musicians (well, that’s if you can be in multiple venues at once) at the Houston Press Music Awards Showcase this Sunday.

The showcase is scattered at different venues downtown. All shows begin at 4 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. A complete listing is here.

It’s all a precursor to the unveiling of this year's music award winners. If you haven’t voted yet, you still have time to vote. To sample some of the nominees, here are the nominations for Album of the Year:
