At first, I wasn't sure what it was. The angle and the bright sun in the middle are a little perplexing. Alas! It's the sculplture Penetrable Amarillo by Jesus Rafael Soto outside the MFAH.
Little did we know, that this is a popular kinetic sculpture that can be found at other museums and public spaces, and in different colors. Check out more pictures of his works here. No offense to the one at the MFAH, but we're partial to the Penetrable Azul in Buenos Aires.
