This shot is so good, with such rich colors, that it could be a poster shot. Might it also be humbly suggested that this would make a great computer background. This shot was taken at the 2006 Ballunar Liftoff Festival, held in Clear Lake.
How did this Ballunar Festival come to be? It was founded in 1993 as a small gathering to recognize the 200th anniversary of the first manned flight. Around a decade later, it's one of the largest baloon events in the country.
Of course, they're doing construction on the air over I-45 the Gulf Freeway and many of the baloons were late landing due to heavy traffic around the Fry's on Nasa Road One.
