Even though Bobby Wiggins called Dallas home for a long while, the native Houstonian is back in our city, and making good use of his time here. He's got a line of t-shirts that are pretty, rockin', sweet, whatever you want to call them -- they look good! And young Bobby is running the business on his own. He calls the positive-message-only t-shirt line Moral Fabric.
Why did you start Moral Fabric?
Moral Fabric is a collection of thoughts and concepts that were never intended to go on t-shirts. As far as I was concerned, they would stay in my journal forever. It wasn’t until one day while I was flipping through the past few years of journal entries that it dawned on me – wow, these ideas would make some pretty cool t-shirts! At that point in my life I needed to be passionate about something new…something that would still allow me to be creative, but something that could offer me more of a career than the music production avenue I was traveling down. So, I hit the ground running. I took my ideas, elaborated them to be more design friendly, bugged the hell out of local silk screeners…and somehow I ended up with a bunch of t-shirts and an e-commerce website. It all came together so well, like I’m supposed to be doing this. As far as where the name “Moral Fabric” came from, well, it was just a given really. All my designs focused on the positive side of life. So, “Moral Fabric’ was my first and only choice for a clothing line.
What’s the most difficult aspect of having your own line?
The most challenging aspect of having my own “line” is the fact that I do everything myself. I am ultimately responsible for all the decisions that need to be made with Moral Fabric. But, I like to stay busy, busy, busy… so everything is good!
What is your favorite design that you’ve come up with?
Although I love them all, I currently have two favorites: “Ahimsa” and “Music Organic”. These two pretty much sum up the future design direction of Moral Fabric. You can expect to see a lot more organic elements in the future. I’m actually working on a design right now that is moving up the ranks on my favorites list…it’s a giant octopus that covers the WHOLE front of the shirt…sleeves and all. It’s going to be SWEET!!
How does Houston fare fashion wise? Are you embarrassed to see the way most Houstonians dress, or do we make you proud?
I don’t pay attention to the way people dress in Houston, or any city for that matter. I’m a t-shirt and jeans guy!
But, since I have the opportunity, I will say this: There is something very special about Houston. This city buzzes with an entrepreneurial and artistic spirit that I have never seen anywhere else. Since I have moved back here (from Dallas…3 years ago) I have met such a diverse array of talented and energetic young people who are BRINGIN’ IT! I love this city, and I plan on staying here for a while
Where can people buy Moral Fabric?

What are the future plans for Moral Fabric?
