Oh God. The Chronicle used the phrase "money shots". We're still reeling from the odd slang usage, but we thought we'd tell you what the rest of the article says too...

Don't try to trick the red light cameras, guys. Apparently there are clear sprays and license plate covers advertised as preventing the cameras from taking clear readings of your rear plate (which is what they use to figure out where to send those pesky $75 fines ). The products, like Photoblocker, apparently create a glossy finish that makes a glare when it hits the camera, so the plate is unreadable.
License plate covers are a misdemeanor in Texas, but the law doesn't prohibit the clear sprays...yet. So...we guess they're just asking you not to use them. So far.
