University of Houston Gets a Unique Sonic Restaurant

Sonic, America’s Favorite Drive-In, goes Dine-In or Out in a first of it’s kind restaurant located in the parking garage at the University of Houston (located at Calhoun and University). According to the Houston Business Journal , the new 1950’s style diner will not only be open to the general public, parking is free for up to thirty minutes for patrons. For anyone who's ever tried to park at UH, you know how important that fact is.

We are getting thirsty just thinking about our favorite Sonic treat – cherry limeade (largest one sold, please). Somehow, we don’t think your professor wants an extra-long chili-cheese coney with chili-cheese tots in his or her class, but with dining areas both inside and out, timing an early arrival to class may have some fast food perks

Houston-based Airport Express Management, Ltd. is operating the franchise, and has other restaurants located inside the George Bush International Airport. Which reminds us – no smoothies, water or beverages of any kind on the airplane.
