A free day at the museums

060915_hmd.gifIt’s going to be hot and sticky outside this weekend with a fair chance of rain – a good time to do something indoors. Many museums are participating in Museum District Day, offering visitors free admission. So if you’ve always wanted to go to some of the museums in town and didn’t have the $5-10 to spend (you cheap bastards), this is a perfect opportunity for you!

Over a dozen of museums are participating this year, including the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural Science, Contemporary Arts Museum, and the Houston Center of Photography. Some museums will be holding special events, too. Here's a complete listing of the museums and their offerings.
