Houstonist Bartender

fight.gifWe don’t know about you, but it’s been a pretty rough week. Long nights and longer days. One thing after another, the hits kept coming. To say we are glad Friday has finally arrived would be a gross understatement. Week's like this call for something simple, tasty and with a bit more kick to numb the bumps and bruises. Plus, easy to make after you've had a few.

This week’s recipe (if you can really call it that) was introduced to Houstonist by John B., a local entertainer, who you can find strumming on the patio at one of our favorite watering holes most Saturday nights. We like it, because all you need is a glass, ice, alcohol and a couple limes. And if the ice runs out, put it in a smaller glass. Be smart while your drinking, and if you can’t, bring someone who can be smart enough for you both. Bottoms up!

SoCo (Southern Comfort) and Lime

1 ½ ounces Southern Comfort
Juice of 1/3 lime
Splash of club soda
Garnish with lime slice

In a rocks glass full of ice, pour in SoCo.
Squeeze juice of 1/3 lime
Add a splash of club soda
Garnish with lime slice
Drink and repeat!

If you have a drink suggestion, email us. It could be a future Houstonist Bartender recipe.
