The shot from flickr user and Houstonist photo contributor eschipul... though we have it on good authority the photo was actually taken by Holly, the amazing waitress at Stag's Head Pub.
There were a lot of great photos we wanted to end the week on, but then we thought this, this right here, this is what you should be doing for the weekend: hanging out with friends and compatriots. This fun group of people is from the Houston Netsqaured chapter.
What is Netsquared, you ask? Basically, it's an organization dedicated to helping non-profits utilize the web, especially web2.0, for the betterment of society.
Check out more on Katie Laird's Netsquared blog. You should totally join them, Houstonist had the opportunity to meet a lot of this group at the last Houston BarCamp and they are web2.0/Ruby-on-Rails party animals.
If you've got a camera, and you love Houston, consider joining Houston's best photographers in the Houstonist Flickr Photo Group. Also, check out the Houston Photobloggers for some more great photography.

Missed Connections: Gefilte Fish...and "Chain Connections"

Thanks for picking the Nets2 Houston picture! If anyone is joining they can join the meetup group at http://netsquared.meetup.com/3/
We also do not have a confirmed speaker for next months meeting. So if you have any recommendations of someone who can address social issues and technology please let me know. If possible we'd like some suggestions of folks who aren't that tech savvy but have made an impact in the social sector by using tech. Expand our horizons stuff.
Maybe some great photobloggers who recorded Katrina or Rita information and used tech to affect change? We would love to have you come speak.
Aren't we a geeky bunch ;) Thanks again to Sharron Rush and Glenda Sims (my twin) for coming up from Austin to talk about Web 2.0 Accessibility.
