Does your home's foyer have Jesus?

092006_jesus.jpgIf your week is turning out anything like Houstonist's, you need a nice midweek pick-me-up. And do we have just the thing for you: in Conroe, the image of Jesus Christ on the floor of a woman's entry hall. Homeowner Anna Glover said she noticed the Redeemer hanging out on her nice tiled floor shortly after she moved into the house almost three years ago:

"We’ve been here about three years, three years in November and it was shortly after we moved in and you'd walk by and say, ‘wow what is that,’ you know," said Glover. "Every time we had people over we'd say you have to see this."

Well, yeah. The image of Jesus is caused by a porch light shining through a beveled glass front door; in the projected image, J.C. sports a beard and what seems to be a bob haircut. (Depending on how you see it, he might actually have giant Princess Leia buns, or could be holding a pair of cymbals over his ears. Come to think of it, the image looks kind of like a Chia Pet. Seriously, the Virgin Mary rarely seems this ambiguous when she makes the scene.)

Glover is planning to sell her house and told KPRC she hopes the next owner will appreciate the Jesus thing, too. Hey, it could be huge — that Shroud of Turin deal is so overdone, don't you think?

man - and here i was thinking it was jerry garcia!

It does look more like Jerry Garcia ... I guess it's all a matter of perspective -- we now know that a Deadhead wasn't living here. I'm sure that if a Parrothead lived here, they'd see Jimmy Buffet in the image -- not hard to do after spending too much time in margaritaville.

When I saw it on Olbermann that's exactly what I thought -- Jerry was sending us a message!
