Houstonist Flickr Photo of the Day - Berkman Catches

Berkman Catches

The shot from flickr user and Houstonist photo contributor theme with the photos this week? It's all Astros this week as everyone holds there breath to see if the good guys can make it.

Even if it wasn't Astros week, this picture would still get shown because it's a fantastic action shot that not only captures the speed, but is also the perfect angle. And the Cardinals lose.

Below the jump, check out what the blogs are saying:

Astros Anonymous - "How's about them Astros? 6 up for Houston while St Louis falls 6. And now the Astros stand only 2.5 games back of the NL Central lead. Also, keep an eye out for the Reds. They are only 3.5 games back. But finally we have a playoff race with only 6 games left"

Plunk Biggio - "Ryan Madson had 7 pitches to plunk Biggio in Biggio's pinch-hitting appearance last night, but he couldn't get the job done. Perhaps it was that disappointment that caused the rest of the Phillies to lose confidence and lose to the Astros 5-4."

Deadspin - "You know, ever since the space shuttle Discovery launched, the Astros have been winning at an insufferable pace. Last week 8 1/2 back in the NL Central, they're now 2 1/2 behind the Cardinals (Grrr) after a 5-4 win over the Phillies; Houston's sixth straight victory (Grrrrr). That also dropped the Phils into a tie with Los Angeles for the NL wild-card lead. Both teams have six games remaining in the regular season, all on the road."
