Houston's Missed Connections: Playing to the right Pitch

0725MC.jpg

Last week was , apparently a heavy time for Houston's lovelorn MCers, and some of this week's Missed Connections were completely new to us.

Take, for example, this guy, who wrote out an MC explaining that he is in no way interested. At all. Not even a little:

third coast vball last night

i liked your pants, but i wasn't checking you out like you thought. cool pants, but i'm not interested at all.

Red Porsche Ran Over Mattress on 59&Newcastle

Yes that was a mattress you ran over this afternoon. Some knucklehead did not tie it down. I was your knight in shining - well, maroon - armour. Just thought you might like to know what got stuck under your car. write if you'd like Tom

Is that where our mattress went?

Oy, Tom. Where are you when random crap comes flying at us out of the back of trailers on 59? Can you be permanently stationed on that part of the roadway because we've run over some pretty disturbing things there as well.

It comes as no surprise that much of the MCs posted this week were from this weekend's Astros games.

Astros Game Friday Night - 09.22.06

Did anyone tape the Astros game Friday night? I would like to get a copy! My 6 year old son and I were on tv. I don't get to spend a lot of time with him. This would mean the world to both of us! If anyone can help or has useful suggestions, please let me know, thanks Houston!

We hope someone responds to this man, who missed a connection with his VCR.

Lauren - Minute Maid Park

I had the pleasure of sitting behind you at the game last night and watching you interact with the "regulars." It's obvious to anyone who pays attention that you are a special person with an amazing personality.

What kind of cheesy school of flattery did this guy learn his lines? The "regulars" and probably Lauren are not impressed. Look dude, barring Lauren Bacall, most Laurens are just as "regular" as the rest of us.
