Cool(er) weather headed our way

100606_thermometer.jpgAll right: Earlier this week, we told you that we'd continue having hot, hot, hot weather through the middle of next week, when things would become really nice. And it turns out we were wrong, but that's not necessarily a bad thing: According to the forecast, things are going to start getting much better today.

We should reach 90 degrees this afternoon — yeah, that's still hot, but the humidity will be falling throughout the day, and by tomorrow morning it'll be a crisp 62 degrees. For the next few days, count on highs in the lower to mid 80s, lows around 60 and lots of sunshine. Yeah, we can definitely deal with that.

The change is welcome after yesterday's record-breaking high of 94 (the previous record, 92, was set last year). The record for today is 93, set back in 1989; the record low is 41, set in 1932. Ah, if only.
