Goonies ‘R Good Enough for Oak Forest

061020_goonies.jpgHoustonist has a cousin that was infatuated with The Goonies, enough so that it became her favorite movie of all time. She also had a huge crush on Sean Astin (hopefully she got over that). While we may not totally share her enthusiasm for the adolescent adventure movie, it does bring us back to a simpler time, and back to the days when Cory Feldman was in every freakin’ teen movie released.

The Oak Forest Homeowners Association is screening The Goonies tomorrow night at Oak Forest Park. The movie will be shown on a large screen at the park – all you need to do is bring your friends, kids, your friends’ kids, lawn chairs, beverages and snacks. The temperature should be great for an outside movie, we’re just keeping our fingers crossed that the rain will wait.
