We checked our bank account today and had to fight the urge to pick up the phone and call mom and dad for a handout loan. Things are looking bleak our immediate financial future. Good thing there’s a big ass (free) party happening this weekend! It’s better known as the Westheimer Block Party.
The semi-annual fiesta brought in over 4,000 partygoers last May, and this year’s party should rock just as much. The festivities will reach from the Westheimer and Taft intersection and work east to Bagby. There will be over 30 bands, live painting by The Mexican Arsenal, the first-ever bike ride art show, and the third annual Houston Comic and Zine Festival happening in the Helios parking lot (411 Westheimer).
