So, according to KHOU, 206,239 people in Harris County voted early this year. That's excellent — now you can sit back, brush up on the federal legislative process and wait for election results.
As for the rest of you, the 89.2 percent of registered voters in Harris County who have not yet voted, you know what you need to do today: Read up on the candidates and issues, find your polling place and go cast your vote. You know all the reasons why: Your vote is your way to register your opinions on things that are important to you, it's exercising a right a lot of people in the world don't have, it helps make a difference in the government (or helps keep things the same, if that's what you want). But the most important reason for voting, we think, is this: If you don't vote, you have absolutely no right to complain about the government. Seriously. If we hear you've complained, but didn't vote, we will come after you.
