OK, so it's time for a show of hands: How many of you didn't know that the Houston Dynamo is headed for the MLS Cup? Shameful. But don't worry, there's still time to jump on the Dynamo bandwagon, KTRK reports:
The Houston Dynamo are going to their first Major League Soccer championship finals in style.Mayor White will throw a pep rally of sorts at City Hall on Wednesday before team members leave for San Francisco. The sendoff starts at 12:30pm on the steps of city hall.
The public is invited and the first 200 Dynamo fans will receive free lunch from Wing Stop.
We have to admit, we were kind of put off by the lackluster description of "a pep rally of sorts" — but free lunch from Wing Stop cures all ills. If you're downtown at lunchtime, or can get there, Houstonist would love to see you at the Dynamo rally!

Stupid KTRK, it's in Frisco, not San Fran! Duh!
I've been a Dynamo fan since day one. I'm a loud and proud member of the official supporter's group, Texian Army. I will be driving to Frisco on Friday after work to participate in the weekend's festivities. Frisco, TEXAS that is. Not San Fransisco, California...
Where are all of the politically correct folks that forced the Houston 1836 to change their name to the Dynamo? Don't tell me that they got their way then moved on to another 'cause.'
I hope the 'Dynamo' end up moving to Mexico.
