Dynamo rally set for lunchtime today

OK, so it's time for a show of hands: How many of you didn't know that the Houston Dynamo is headed for the MLS Cup? Shameful. But don't worry, there's still time to jump on the Dynamo bandwagon, KTRK reports:

The Houston Dynamo are going to their first Major League Soccer championship finals in style.

Mayor White will throw a pep rally of sorts at City Hall on Wednesday before team members leave for San Francisco. The sendoff starts at 12:30pm on the steps of city hall.

The public is invited and the first 200 Dynamo fans will receive free lunch from Wing Stop.

We have to admit, we were kind of put off by the lackluster description of "a pep rally of sorts" — but free lunch from Wing Stop cures all ills. If you're downtown at lunchtime, or can get there, Houstonist would love to see you at the Dynamo rally!
