Murder suspect found napping in stolen car

110906_dnd.jpgRemember last week's SWAT standoff at an apartment complex when police were searching for a murder suspect and ended up finding a spaced-out woman in a housecoat instead? Well, the cops finally caught up with one of the suspects in the murder of Brandon Dean — and they caught him napping. Literally. Here's the report from KTRK:

Crime Stoppers got a tip that Billy Joe Whiteside was sleeping in an SUV at the corner of 39th and Bombay, and that's just where a homicide detective found him.

Whiteside is accused of killing Brandon Dean at the Keegan Mills apartments last Wednesday. Police are still looking for Domingo Alan Valle, who is also wanted in that murder.

So yeah — if you're wanted for murder, it's probably not the best idea to be sleeping in a car. A stolen car. On the street. Just a thought, y'know?

Police are still seeking information on Valle and are offering a reward for tips that lead to his arrest. If you know anything, call Crime Stoppers at 713.222.TIPS.
