Sorry..just had to add: It's the indiscrimate nature of the killings that is most deplorable. It still would not be right,but at least I could understand it if he had killed a Cat that was in the act of attacking a Bird. He has slaughtered (and perhaps left suffering) many Cats that may never have or would never had killed a Bird..those that find food elsewhere and easier to catch. Under his theory,perhaps we Cat lovers should start killing all free roaming Dogs that just_might_kill a Pet Cat at some time in the future. I don't think so..... I'm sure this goes on all the time..if one goes to the Usenet Groups on the Internet,Bird lovers frequently infiltrate the Cat lovers groups and spew forth their disgust of Cats and Cat Lovers in general. Yes sir...takes a REAL man to kill a Cat. I hope the Houstonist will follow this case and let us know the outcome. Ray

This guy needs professional help...before he starts killing Bald Eagles and other large predatory birds that also kill Songbirds. By the way,how many feral Cats would be required to feed exclusively on Birds to actually make any major difference in the Songbird population?? And seeing as how he has "confessed" to killing many other Cats with a .22 rifle,I hope he is also charged with those shootings also.
