Monday through Wednesday
More typical of the summer, expect a chance of an isolated shower in the afternoon... though we couldn't tell you where. Temperatures reaching the upper 70s in the afternoon and mid 60's overnight.
Wednesday Night through Thurday
A front moves in, causing showers and a possible thunderstorm as it crosses the area. Expect temperatures to drop to hights in the mid 60's and lows closer to 73.
The Weekend
A little meteorology lesson on radiational cooling:
The coldest nights are when it is clear and calm, not when it is cloudy. People associate clouds with cooler weather in places, like Houston, where they usually indicate a cold front has just moved through. Clouds are good though, as the blanket effect they cause can often outweigh the benefits and heating of sunshine. Here's a good graphic about it.
That's a long way to get to a low near freezing on Friday night (below in some suburban areas) as it will be clear and cool. Clouds will appear Saturday night and the temperature will moderate around the lower 40s and a high near 60 on Sunday.
