Friday Afternoon Videos: The Compromise

One of our favorite current albums is Dog Problems from the Arizona band The Format. It’s pure pop goodness from start to finish. The first single, “The Compromise,” seems to be about their experiences with a major record label (yes, we know that’s not a new topic).

The video reminds us a little bit of Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer,” but simpler. It’s an explosion of origami and papier mache – animals, plants and robots all sprouting up while the band members play around them. Once again, not a new concept, but fun to watch.
